Art Deco Wedding Bridal Look
With all the wonderful costuming influences we're seeing in fashion and on shows like Boardwalk Empire and the much- anticipated remake of The Great Gatsby, it's no wonder the Art Deco look is having another resurgence now. It's one of my favorite fashion motifs because of the Parisian influence, the natural, geometric forms, and the amazing intricacy that always looks modern.
When I saw this beautiful Badgley Mischka Cap Sleeve gown, I knew I had to put a look together for this. I picture this on a bride who is having a city wedding , and wants to be sleek and timeless. (Photos at the Chrysler Building, maybe?) These bejeweled Jimmy Choo sandals are perfect with this, and the clutch , which of course she won't walk down the aisle with, is great for sleekly stashing some lipstick for wedding day touch ups. I also love this beautiful Jennifer Behr for J.Crew veil with it. It think a light birdcage veil is just enough to make the look bridal. I also know the very talented Thea at Hushed Commotion also specializes in creating great Art Deco bridal looks, so a veil or headpiece from her collection would be perfect here as well! Like this one called Astrid.
I hope you enjoy this look, it's one of my favorites!
