Blue Lace Cocktail Dress for a September Wedding Guest
I took a cue from September's sapphire birthstone when choosing the color for today's wedding guest style post. This electric blue is between a vibrant sapphire and a royal blue, in one of the most classic fabrics: lace! This will be the first a few ideas for what to wear to September and fall weddings, so I thought I'd start things off with a completely classic combination: an impeccable cocktail dress style, in a color that is both flattering and very wedding-friendly!

Royal Blue Lace Dress
While you can certainly keep this look super classic with diamonds or pearls, I thought it was fun to add some colorful statement earrings, and a non-matching hot pink clutch. This post also features my new favorite shoe - the slim ankle strap style (this pair by Stuart Weitzman is is called "The Nudist", because they allow so much leg to show!) These heels not only elongate the leg, but also just adds a wisp of barely-there color, letting the dress stand out. This sandal style comes in tons of shades, so you could also try a floral, or hot pink for fun contrast if you dare!
