Anne Barge Spring Summer 2015 Couture Bridal Collection
You'll remember that I mentioned that the Anne Barge Spring/Summer 2015 Couture Bridal Collection was one of the highlights of bridal market. Anne Barge's signature style of beautifully made couture wedding dresses for the elegant bride were as timeless as ever, but with new levels of embellishment, and shown on models wearing beautiful braided updos, and decked out soft pastels and in classic statement jewelry. Each one reflected a new kind of romantic glamour, that brought to mind influences of some of the most iconic dress styles of the 1920s, 1930s, and 1950s, re-translated in a very beautiful and very modern way with soft blush tones.
The inspiration for the collection was elegantly stated as well:
Channeling the essence of a bride, Anne Barge's Spring 2015 bridal collection was inspired by pure romance and a prism of pastels. The classic collection featured watercolor like transparencies in tulle, silk organza, and lace as well as luscious duchess satins, mikados, and taffetas. Intricate beading and embroidery made it magical.
I'll be updating my last post with some official runway images from the Anne Barge Collection, but these official photographs of the collection will give you a clear view of these nuanced pastels and the details of these beautiful gowns to dream about.
