Gold Maxi Dress for a Bridesmaid or Wedding Guest

For those of us who have become enamored with the sequined and metallic bridesmaid dress trend, those otherwise perfect sequin dresses have one little drawback; in many cases they are heavy, which is lovely and opulent, but can be a bit hard to wear in the summer months. If that is your conundrum, I present this solution, this dress, the Friend of the Glam' Gold Maxi Dress from Lulus, a light gold metallic gown in a light knit. This gold maxi dress has all sorts of pretty elements like spaghetti straps and floor-grazing length, but in a beach, summer or destination wedding-friendly light knit. While not all sequin gowns are too heavy for summer, this golden gown is definitely light and fun - and so reasonably priced!

Long Gold Gown for Bridesmaids

So it's that rare gem combination of bridesmaid dresses - affordable, wear-again, and on trend! Now, this is a special dress, but I think since it seems to be a true gold and not an ivory, one could get away with it for a wedding guest dress. I say "get away" with it, because sometimes the light blushes, golds, and tans appear light or white in photos, and so many bridesmaid dresses and bridal gowns are also showing up in these light hues, and one doesn't want to be the guest wearing the same color as the bride or bridal party. But if you wear this gold gown and accessorize it with a long necklace and maybe some darker colors than shown here - for instance black as a contrast - I think it would suit a black tie wedding!
