If for some reason you didn't brush your teeth today, well--ew, ick-- but, have no fear, you're about to get minty fresh here!

One of the most popular wedding colors right now is mint, and it seems everyone knows to call it mint green! I have to admit, I actually had this color as one of the colors of my wedding--so of course I love it--but at the time I didn't know quite what to call it. I wanted it to be a coastal greeny blue, so I called it seafoam, pale aqua, and pale Tiffany blue at various times. In fact, I used to think of mint green as a darker green, more like the color of natural spearmint leaves, but apparently those who name colors have decided that this shade -- that calls to mind artificially flavored mint ice cream-- is to be called mint! I'm good with that name and I appreciate the definitive decision!

Still, even within mint, you'll see that it ranges from a bluish tint like the pale turquoise found in J. Crew's Sunwashed Aqua, to a pale celadon green in some cases. Like all pastels, it looks so delicious with pale yellow, cream, gold, silver, lavender, and pale pinky blush. When there's time this summer, I'll put together those combinations; but right now, in the main image above I'm showing a mainly monochromatic look with a little touch of gold.
