Rustic Wedding Party Style
If there's one style of wedding attire I haven't featured nearly enough, it is wedding party attire for a rustic wedding theme. I spent lots of my life riding horses and, therefore, spent lots of time in a relatively rustic setting, so I can't deny the pull that a quintessential country style has for me. Fall is the perfect season for rustic weddings, and I think the season, along with this styled invitation shoot I did, inspired me to create more looks for a rustic wedding. I had the most fun styling the rustic invitation shots, and now I get a little pin-happy pinning images of barrels full of flowers, beautiful tablescapes set in barns, and sweet little lace details to my rustic wedding Pinterest board.
I actually now have so many ideas for how to dress your wedding party for your rustic wedding that I have a few different looks up my sleeve. Today's look leans toward a bohemian rustic wedding style. That casual cotton long sleeve lace dress was the focal point for me that made it seem a little boho. I can see a bride wearing that dress with flowers in her hair for her engagement photos, or changing into that dress for late-night dancing, or asking all her bridesmaids wear that dress for the sweetest look. (Cream or neutral dresses, especially in lace, are emerging as a trend for bridesmaids, and I'm definitely a fan!) The other sweet little detail I'm fond of are those hanging jars: imagine having them filled with flowers and lining the aisle or hanging from the trees surrounding the ceremony and reception. As for the other details, well, it nearly goes without saying that burlap and lace are just made for adding sweet details to rustic wedding themes. Tie a bit of that around bouquets, as a belly band around the invitations or streamers on the backs of chairs. Those lacy embellished shoes are perfect for the rustic bride, and the whimsical plaid linen ties for the groom and his men are the perfect finishing touches for this rustic boho look!
