I haven't done a true reader request in a while, but that doesn't mean I don't get inspired by hearing about other people's weddings and color schemes! The other day, I was chatting with someone who was contemplating a sage green and lavender purple wedding theme. I realized I hadn't done a collage yet using pale green and pale purple colors, so here it is!

Sage green and lavender, are not just two herbs that are lovely together. It also is a great wedding color scheme theme that makes it easy to include beautiful natural organic and herbal elements. One could quite literally use sage and lavender plants, or accent the look with succulents (which always seem to have a bit of green and purple mixed), or use other pale purple and green flowers and elements to pull off this color pairing.
Pale Green Gowns and Dresses for Bridesmaids
This sage green and lavender look for bridesmaids features a pale green gown in Dusty Shale from J.Crew, which has been around for a few seasons and has become a classic! J. Crew also has a beautiful color called Sea Spray which is a similar sage green shade.
Sage green and pale green has a bit more gray or yellow undertones than some shades of mint green, but the term for the colors of sage and mint in the dresses I see seem pretty interchangeable. It's just based on personal preference if you want more of an ice blue tinge, or a bit more of a true green. I'm seeing more and more stores stocking variations of pretty pale green bridesmaid dresses. ASOS has a beautiful collection that includes mint green dresses with embellished elements, which I just love! You can check those out here: the ASOS Embellished Back Midi Dress and coordinating maxi , pencil and swingy midi looks.
How to pair pale green and lavender for your wedding
Now this outfit idea boldly uses lavender in places, but probably the easiest way to bring in the green and lavender mix for bridesmaids will be through the use of flowers. Just imagine pretty floral crowns made of olive leaves, sage, and lavender, or having springs of those herbs and other flowers in those colors. It will be both fragrant and beautiful! Sage green also looks lovely with silver, gold, and blush, and pale blue, so feel free to add in any of those colors as another accent!
You could also easily reverse this look and put a purple bridesmaid dress with green accessories. We'll link to a collage if we create a look with that concept! Until then, here are some other posts and shop sections to help you find attire for your wedding!
